CPLAT II 2.0 now available

NOTE: CPLAT supports Intel based Macs. Beginning with CPLAT II 2.0 XCode 2.1 projects are included to support building of Universal Binaries for MacOSX*.

CPLAT II is a complete redesign of the original CPLAT framework providing a modern low-cost C++ cross-platform framework for development under MacOS, Windows and soon Linux.

If you would like a MacOS only version of the CPLAT_II 2.0 framework for doing only MacOS development, with the option of cross-platform work later on, see CPLAT_Mac II.

Unlike other cross-platform frameworks that emulate the appearance of the underlying OS, CPLAT uses the native UI controls of the underlying platform.

In addition to using the native OS controls, CPLAT provides accessors to allow you to get the underlying OS object and make direct calls as necessary to add features that you might want for a particular platform.

CPLAT provides classes and access to the following OS specific features:

MacOS

Windows

Linux

CPLAT can be built using the following supported compilers / build systems.

MacOS

Windows

When you register for CPLAT, you will receive the following as part of the complete CPLAT package.

*CPLAT has not yet been tested with the Developer Transition Kit.
